Description
Loctite 648 is a special professional adhesive designed primarily for bonding various components, especially cylindrical parts. Typical applications of Loctite 648 include securing gears or chain wheels onto shafts, securing rotors onto shafts, and similar uses. The curing of the product occurs in the joint without access to air, preferably between metal surfaces. The gap can be up to 0.15 mm wide. Once cured, Loctite 648 is highly resistant to vibrations and shocks, preventing subsequent cracking, loosening, or leaking of the joint. In addition to its high strength, the adhesive is also very heat resistant, up to +180 °C.
