Description
The high-strength thread locker Loctite 2701 is useful wherever you need to secure joints very tightly. Loctite 2701 cures without access to air in the gap between two metal surfaces, and once cured, it is very resistant and prevents cracking of the joint and subsequent loosening or falling out of the bonded components. However, a disadvantage is that Loctite 2701 cannot be disassembled further, for example, for regular maintenance. Once it cures, disassembly of the components will be very labor-intensive. It is therefore ideal for applications where its use will be permanent, such as with permanently tightened bolts of engine blocks, various enclosures for electric motors, and similar applications.
