Description
Loctite 243 is an effective thread locker that cures in the gap between two metal surfaces, without access to air. Once cured, it secures threaded joints while also sealing them. Although the locker is resistant after curing and prevents both cracking of the joint and its loosening or leakage, it can still be relatively easily disassembled using hand tools, for example, during regular inspections. Its composition is more suitable for less active surfaces, such as stainless steel or plated surfaces. A significant advantage is the thixotropic nature, which prevents the Loctite 243 locker from dripping after application. The thermal resistance of the locker is up to 180 °C.
