The Loctite 242 thread locker not only perfectly seals the thread but also prevents self-loosening due to frequent vibrations and impacts. Loctite 242 is applied directly to the thread, where it subsequently hardens in the gap between the two surfaces, securing and sealing the joint at the same time. Loctite 242 is a medium strength locker, so it can be manually disassembled at any time after curing. Loctite 242 also features increased temperature resistance, up to 150 °C. We recommend it for securing screws of electronic components, connectors, adjustment screws, and similar applications.
