Loctite 290 is applied directly into the thread, where it is allowed to cure without access to air, creating a medium-strength locking after curing. It also prevents contact corrosion, which occurs when two metals come into contact. Loctite 290 is mainly used in various screws of devices, electrical connectors, adjustment screws, and similar applications. The product also has increased temperature resistance, up to 150 °C.
