Description
The sealant is quick-drying, elastic, and can be painted over with most coating systems after a skin has formed.
The product has very good adhesion to many substrates and can therefore be used as a versatile adhesive and sealant. DINITROL 425 UV can be sanded after curing.
- Reduces preparation and processing time
- Mechanical strength is 50% higher than standard PU
- Very good UV stability and high weather resistance
- Saves costs on primer
- Reliable long-term sealant
- High acceptability due to user-friendly handling and high-quality surface finish
Areas of application
DINITROL 425 UV is used for bonding and sealing in various areas such as buses, trucks, caravans, the automotive industry, and boat construction. The material adheres to bare and painted metals, aluminum, hard plastics (GRP, rigid PVC), wood, and glass. It is suitable for sealing overlaps and expansion joints in visible areas for exterior and interior use in utility vehicle construction. For difficult substrates, we recommend testing adhesion before application.
Application
DINITROL 425 UV is applied at room temperature. The surface to be treated must be clean and free of dust, oil, and grease. Use DINITROL 582 to clean dirty substrates. Commonly available spray guns can be used for cartridges and hose bags. The geometry of the bead and the thickness of the layer for bonding depend on the maximum load caused by movement in the bonded joint. DINITROL 425 UV cures depending on the dimensions of the joint, humidity, and temperature.
